Women’s Hi Vis Work Jackets
When you’re working in wet, windy weather conditions, a women’s hi vis workcoat or jacket is the best option. It gives you additional visibility across your whole body to maximise your protection.
In cloudy or foggy conditions when light levels are particularly low, this extra visibility is particularly useful. Many of our women’s hi vis jackets will also keep you warm, thanks to thick fabric and soft linings, with features like taped seams to provide extra protection against the rain or wind.
As our women’s hi vis safety wear are all designed for women specifically, they’re also more comfortable than generic unisex options.
Women’s Hi Vis Safety Vests
The most obvious option for hi vis safety is always a vest. Easy to put on and remove, they’re perfect for warm days where you just ensure you’re visible for certain tasks or times.
Like all our women’s workwear, our hi vis safety vests are designed to be durable and functional. Many of our options come with plenty of pockets, so you can keep useful items to hand, as well as round the body and over shoulder reflective strips to keep you as visible as possible.
Women’s Hi Vis Trousers
If you want to ensure you’re as visible as possible, our hi vis women’s trousers will help make sure that even your legs can be seen.
Like our standard women’s workwear trousers they are designed to be comfortable and durable to wear. They’re made from flexible material that will move with you, rather than stay stiff and cause friction.
They’re still robust enough to be worn every day, even in tough working conditions, and they’re full of features like large pockets and reinforced seams to keep them as practical as possible on long work days.

Frequently Asked Questions
When it comes to women’s hi vis clothing, it is important to care for it correctly. In most cases, this means washing at 40 degrees, and replacing items regularly. Hi vis clothing does need washing semi regularly, even if it is outerwear like a vest. This is because dirt can reduce how effective it is. It can dull the colour, and even reflections off the reflective strips. However, washing at too high a temperature will also damage the reflective strips.
It’s impossible to say what hi vis safety womenswear you need without knowing the details, because certain jobs have different needs. If you’re working somewhere particularly hazardous or in need of the highest level of visibility available, then pairing an orange hi vis jacket with hi vis trousers is a good idea. Orange is the colour that contrasts most with the colours that occur in most environments (Contrasting against trees, the sky and buildings) so it is a good choice. However, a heavy hi vis jacket isn’t always worth wearing during hot summer days because it will just add to your heat. A hi vis orange t-shirt would be a better choice. And if you are working somewhere with a lower risk level you can wear a yellow hi vis vest - something which is also a great choice if you only need the high visibility occasionally rather than all day. If you need help deciding which items you need for a particular task, the Health and Safety Executive has guidance on picking protective workwear.
